Grief Counseling & Support

The Beyond the Leash Grief Counseling & Support Group at Northfield Veterinary Center promotes healing together as pet parents navigate the transitional phases of a beloved pet’s life. If you are currently providing hospice care, preparing for end-of-life-care, or have recently lost a pet – our support group is here for you.

Remember: Your pet’s memory lives on, but healing takes time. With the support of others who understand, you don’t have to go through this journey alone.

Ashley MacNeil, LSW

Ashley MacNeil is a 2025 graduate of Stockton University with a degree in Social Work and currently serves as the Client Service Manager at Northfield Veterinary Center. Ashley’s passion for social work is rooted in helping others feel supported, valued, and empowered to overcome and accept challenges in their lives relating to their beloved pets. She believes in meeting people where they are, listening with empathy, and working alongside them to create meaningful change.

Outside of her professional role at Northfield, Ashley loves spending time outdoors and enjoying activities that bring balance and joy to her life. You can often find her golfing, relaxing at the beach, or dancing with friends. These hobbies keep Ashley grounded and remind her of the importance of connection, movement, and self-care values she brings into her work with clients.
