Erin Goodwin

Dr. Erin Goodwin graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Biology. After working as a veterinary technician for a few years, she decided to pursue veterinary school in California. Dr. Goodwin was able to spend a summer volunteering in Tanzania while in veterinary school, assisting local veterinarians in infectious disease monitoring and vaccination around the Serengeti in an effort to reduce the amount of human deaths due to rabies.

Following graduation from Western University of Health Sciences in 2009, Dr. Goodwin returned to the east coast to complete a residency in Laboratory Animal Medicine at Penn State. She also completed a master’s degree in Comparative Medicine. While in her residency Dr. Goodwin treated a wide variety of animals including those at the Hershey Park Zoo. She returned to sunny Los Angeles and practiced general and emergency medicine up until 2020. She then decided to come back to her home state where she joined the Linwood Pet Hospital team and now also provides services at Northfield Veterinary Center.

Dr. Goodwin’s professional interests include emergency medicine, surgery, and rabbit medicine. In her spare time Dr. Goodwin enjoys traveling and being outdoors, hiking, and SCUBA. She also loves spending time with her human family and her two crazy cats, Baby Broccoli and Peach.
